Built by a Teacher, for Every Learner
ReadingVox started in a K-5 classroom where one teacher saw too many students struggling to access the same content their peers could read effortlessly.
Hi, I'm Kelly.
I have spent my career teaching elementary school — kindergarten through fifth grade. Every year, I see the same thing: brilliant kids who think differently, learn differently, and need different tools to reach their full potential.
Some of my students are dyslexic. Some are English language learners hearing academic vocabulary for the first time. Some have IEPs or 504 plans that require text-to-speech as an accommodation. And some just learn better when they can hear and see the words at the same time.
The tools that existed were expensive — $2 to $5 per student per year — and many of my schools simply could not afford them. I watched students go without, falling further behind because they could not access the same content as their classmates.
That is why I built ReadingVox. One dollar per student per year. All the features. No tiers. No add-ons. No students left out because of budget constraints.
Every feature in ReadingVox exists because I saw a student who needed it. The word highlighting is for my students who lose their place. The vocabulary simplifier is for my ELL students encountering unfamiliar words. The screen mask is for students who get overwhelmed by a full page of text. The font controls are for students who read better with larger text or a dyslexia-friendly font.
ReadingVox is not a product born in a Silicon Valley office. It was born in a classroom, from years of watching kids struggle and knowing technology could help — if only it were accessible and affordable.
Teacher-First Design
Every feature was built because a real student in a real classroom needed it. No feature bloat, no enterprise upsells — just tools that help kids read.
Every Learner Matters
Dyslexic, ELL, IEP, 504, gifted, struggling, or just having a hard day. ReadingVox meets students where they are and gives them the support they need.
Student Privacy First
As a teacher and a parent, I understand the weight of student data responsibility. ReadingVox collects the bare minimum and stores everything on US servers. No ads, no tracking, no profiling.
Affordable by Design
I have seen too many great tools priced out of reach for the schools that need them most. $1/student/year is not a promotional price — it is the price. Period.
Built Different, on Purpose
ReadingVox is not trying to be an everything platform. We do one thing and we do it well: help students read.
Works on Every Website
Google Classroom, Canvas, Khan Academy, Wikipedia, Newsela — if there is text on the page, ReadingVox can read it. Including Google Docs.
AI-Enabled Tools
Our AI vocabulary simplifier replaces difficult words with easier alternatives right on the page, so students can access grade-level content without a separate worksheet.
One-Click Deployment
IT administrators deploy ReadingVox to every student Chromebook through Google Admin Console in a single step. No student action required.
No Training Needed
Students see a simple toolbar on every page. Click play to listen. Click the tools to customize. It is intuitive enough for a kindergartner.
FERPA, COPPA, NDPA Ready
We designed for compliance from day one — not as an afterthought. US servers, minimal data collection, signed DPAs, and 60-day deletion on cancellation.
$1/Student/Year
All features included for every student. No per-feature pricing, no premium tiers, no hidden costs. Title I schools may qualify for free licenses.
Our Mission
Every student deserves to access the same content as their peers — regardless of reading level, learning difference, or the size of their school's technology budget. ReadingVox exists to make that possible.
